The Ford hospital

Well, we have had a very long week. It started last week, we went in for Ty and Aidan's well check by the docotor. However, Ty had begun to get sick the day before the doctor's appointment so by the time we went in Ty was wheezing and coughing. The doctor examined him and he had an ear infection and brochiolitis. Ty has suffered with allergies since last year. The only time he is free from the allergies is the summer and when we spend our time in Fl. The doctor is concerned that this could be the start of asthma for him, we pray it does not. It was such a painful visit, for mommy as well as the kids. Aidan had to have her 4 month shots, which she did not like AT ALL. And they ordered blood work for Ty so he had to sit on my lap as they drew his blood. They want to check him for a number of different things he could be allergic to. He did pretty well, until the end. He really wanted that needle out. After it was over he kept pointing to the spot and saying "lady took my blood away". I took him for a treat at Starbucks, then we had to go to the pharmacy to pick up his inhaler, and the bag of medicines for him. Starting over the weekend Adian began with a running nose, she is getting two teeth now so running nose often comes with that. We took percausion and began nasal spray, vicks rub on the chest and steam showers. It didn't keep it away, we ended up back at the doctor and Aidan has brochiolitis and an ear infection as well. Now both of them are doing breathing treatments every 4 hours. I will have to say we have very happy children to be as sick as they are. I have been sterilizing everything, washing everything, it feels like a hospital in here. I try not to be a paranoid mother but it's better to keep them in when chest issues start, it makes us feel better. We hope to be over this very soon. The whole family is now sick, including daddy. We are itching to get better so we can get out and enjoy the beautiful weather we are having. We do get our vitamin D by playing in the sandbox outside a little each afternoon. We are getting our fill of fresh oranges and homemade hot lemonaid (a family tradition when you are sick) which Ty loves. My parents are flying in on Saturday (my sister just left after spending the weekend at our sick household) so hopefully the house will be germ free by the weekend.
