The Ford hospital
Well, we have had a very long week. It started last week, we went in for Ty and Aidan's well check by the docotor. However, Ty had begun to get sick the day before the doctor's appointment so by the time we went in Ty was wheezing and coughing. The doctor examined him and he had an ear infection and brochiolitis. Ty has suffered with allergies since last year. The only time he is free from the allergies is the summer and when we spend our time in Fl. The doctor is concerned that this could be the start of asthma for him, we pray it does not. It was such a painful visit, for mommy as well as the kids. Aidan had to have her 4 month shots, which she did not like AT ALL. And they ordered blood work for Ty so he had to sit on my lap as they drew his blood. They want to check him for a number of different things he could be allergic to. He did pretty well, until the end. He really wanted that needle out. After it was over he kept pointing to the spot and saying "lady took my blood away". I took him for a treat at Starbucks, then we had to go to the pharmacy to pick up his inhaler, and the bag of medicines for him. Starting over the weekend Adian began with a running nose, she is getting two teeth now so running nose often comes with that. We took percausion and began nasal spray, vicks rub on the chest and steam showers. It didn't keep it away, we ended up back at the doctor and Aidan has brochiolitis and an ear infection as well. Now both of them are doing breathing treatments every 4 hours. I will have to say we have very happy children to be as sick as they are. I have been sterilizing everything, washing everything, it feels like a hospital in here. I try not to be a paranoid mother but it's better to keep them in when chest issues start, it makes us feel better. We hope to be over this very soon. The whole family is now sick, including daddy. We are itching to get better so we can get out and enjoy the beautiful weather we are having. We do get our vitamin D by playing in the sandbox outside a little each afternoon. We are getting our fill of fresh oranges and homemade hot lemonaid (a family tradition when you are sick) which Ty loves. My parents are flying in on Saturday (my sister just left after spending the weekend at our sick household) so hopefully the house will be germ free by the weekend.

Exciting times and new things
Ty has been at Granny and granddad's house all week. I did some crying when they left Sunday, we know how much fun he will have but it's hard to let him leave for so long. Every day we talk to him and he is just having a blast. He is feeding the horse, helping grandad feed the cows, riding on the tractors, and playing in the sandbox. Granny and granddad are having so much fun having him there. They are excited when the day comes that Aidan can come too. While Ty is gone Aidan is getting all the attention here and loving every minute of it. She is growing so much and doing so many new things each day. She is eating cereal now, not loving it but soon she will. She is getting so good and making her piano play on her excersaucer and grabbing all her toys. She scoots around the floor so well, still not having interest in rolling over but I think that is only a matter of time. She LOVES to bounce, and goes crazy bouncing in her bounce seat. This morning we discovered her first tooth is popping through. She is only about a month and a half older than Ty when his first began to come through. We can't believe how big she is getting. She is such a happy girl, always smiling and squealing. She loves to be outside so I know she will love our trip to the mountains.
Our summer begins
We had a wonderful easter. We took the kids to two different easter egg hunts, Aidan just loved being outside in beautiful weather and watching Ty run around. On Sunday morning our tradition continues with easter baskets filled with goodies hidden somewhere in the house. Ty ran right to it this year, daddy said next year we are going to have to make it more of a challenge. Aidan got a cute little light up easter egg, an easter bunny, a new light up toy, a book, and a new little outfit. Ty got a few candy filled eggs, moon sand, cement truck, animal crakers, and his favorite- one of the thomas train friends. They look adoreable in their outfits for church and we actually got some really good pictures Sunday morning before church. Chad's parents were here with us, they had been here for about 4 days visiting. They had decided it would be such a good idea to let Ty go home with them after church on Sunday to stay for a week. They are going to send Ty back on Friday with Chad's younger brother, his wife and our nephew when we meet them at the cabin in the mountains. They worked on us a little to see if Aidan could come but we just aren't ready for her to leave for a week yet. Maybe next summer. We are beginning our summer of travels. Our schedule is getting booked up with visitors, looking forward to our beach trip, and several other trips scheduled. I'm so excited to see Aidan on her first trip to the beach, she will be a little older than Ty was on his first trip. We are going to have our family pictures taken on the beach this summer. I'm hoping Aidan will love the beach as much as Ty does. Then we will be 3 against 1 in our family, Chad isn't the biggest beach fan.

Ty's big 2 year birthday
On the morning of Ty's b-day (March 10th) Ty got his pancake breakfast on his big special day plate. That morning we went to Toys R us and picked out a couple of his favorite Thomas trains. Then we were off to the store to pick up his thomas train cake. On the way home we stopped by one of his favorite places (Sonic) to get him a cherry limeaid. That afternoon we had a few of his good friends over to celebrate with pizza, cake and lots of fun. He and all his friends played outside with bubbles, in the sandbox, riding his bikes and motorcycle around. He had a blast. His big birthday party was on Saturday April 4th at a park that had an adoreable train that rides around the whole park. Daddy grilled out hotdogs for everyone, then Ty got to ride the train with all his friends. There was a huge park where everyone played. Aidan had the best time just being in the sun and watching all the kids play. It turned out to be the most beautiful day. I can't believe he is already two, where does the time go? It makes me cry thinking it won't be long before we are having Adian's first birthday party.
