The leaves are changing, we welcome Fall and all that it brings

School has started back and Aidan, Ty, mom and dad are doing some adjusting.  We are so pleased with the teachers that we have received for both Ty and Aidan.  They seem to truly love what they do and are very nurturing to our babies.  We are deep in the back to school schedule with school all day (for both) and then activities.  Ty decided to kick off one more season of soccer, with daddy as coach.  He plans to try karate in January.  He also just had his first meeting with the "adventure boys" (the name is something he helped come up with for the group).  This is a "boy scout" type group run and directed by all the fathers, a group consisting of all his friends from church.  Aidan began her gymnastics a few weeks ago, and Thursdays could not come soon enough.  If she could go everyday she would be thrilled.  Next weekend we go on our annual camping trip with our group of friends, there are usually 20+ kids that go so Ty and Aidan are beyond excited.  Ty and Aidan both look forward to the Fall, we will be breaking out our first pumpkin treats of the season next week.  They are already both talking about Halloween and the best costume to choose.  Ty has requested I make Carmel apples this year, which should be so much fun.  Ty has been so excited since this year I am his room mom and coordinator as well as on the board for the teach appreciation committee at his school.  He is seeing me in the halls much more these days.  He is getting much better at his anxiety when I have to leave.  We will have many pictures to update soon, first days of school, fall camping, and all our fall adventures.

Summer time is here!!

Wow, time does fly by.  Tyler had a wirlwind end of Kindergarden, so many activities, projects, fun outings, he had a blast.  Can not believe that our sweet boy will be a big first grader in one months time and our baby girl will be starting her school experience with preschool.  Aidan can hardly wait, couting down the time to start school.  She is anticipating the backpack and lunch box shopping.  We recieved some hard news to swallow concerning my mothers health, but both the kids and I traveled to my parents home to help with the care needed.  The kids were both so helpful, and learning so much of helping others in time of need.  Since returning home we have been able to travel with Chad for work and enjoyed time as a family exploring the cool city of Nashville.  Last week Chad had to make a quick trip day trip and Ty got the amazing unforgettable opportunity to fly up with him in the company plane.  Ty and Aidan are already planning out fall activities.  Ty is trying to make the hard decision to either join his team again for soccer this fall or replace it with karate for a while.  Aidan is talking of gymnastics again but has taken an intrest in soccer.  We have come to the conclusion that our fall will be another whirlwind with school and after school activities.  The kids are getting ready to spend a couple weeks at Grandad and Granny's farm.  They get so excited for the farm life, filled with fishing, tractor riding, lighting bug catching, feeding cows and horses, and riding the motorcycle around the farm.  This summer they will get a chance to spend a week of their time there with two other cousins, which is even more exciting.  Just unbelieveable that just two short weeks after returning from granny/grandad camp we will be beginning school again.  We are cherishing our summers together, the fast paced life of school and activities running us all day are right around the corner.

Time has gotten away

I would apologize for my lack of keeping up with our blog however we had a glitch in the blogging system and much of my energy goes into my family so it's hard to apologize for that.  Life with an active kindergartner with a soccer schedule and a baby girl in gymnastics keeps our lives going from start of day to end.  Chad had the privilege of coaching Ty's soccer team, they had such a great season the parents of all the other kids on the team have asked to stay together and keep Chad on as coach.  It was Chad's first coaching experience and he did amazing.  Ty absolutely loved soccer and is becoming quite the soccer player.  We have practice games in our back yard and he just loves when it's daddy and Ty verses mommy.  Aidan is showing some real skill in soccer as well, she uses the time while watching Ty's practice and games to work on her dribbling.  We can already tell she is going to keep us hopping with all her activities.  She adored gymnastics and was so sad when it was over.  Ty and Aidan both are ready to start up soccer and gymnastics again in the spring.  I have also been blessed with the ability to volunteer quite a bit at Ty's school.  He has such a sweet class and not only learning a lot in the class but making such precious friendships.  He is reading all the time, and really excelling in all his areas of learning.  We were so proud of him at our first parent teacher conference they bragged on him and informed us that he scored the highest he could in many categories that are not expected for high scores in a kindergartner.  He is a proud big brother and has been helping teach Aidan sight words in which she now can read several on her own.  We were able to spend the entire Thanksgiving in Florida with family, and now are looking forward to a long week and a half spending some time with Chad's family and a few surprises we have in store for just Ty and Aidan.  Christmas time has brought lots of talk with Ty and Aidan regarding families that are in need so they have gotten a list of a family that is in need now and tomorrow morning we are going out as a family to buy presents for them.  It is heartwarming to see how excited Ty is to buy presents for these children he has never met.  We then are planning our annual candy making together to take to friends around town.  Aidan can hardly wait to help deliver the goodies.  We are blessed beyond words with our babies and their big hearts.  We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and an blessed new year!

Love to all, Chad, Becca, Ty and Aidan

Where has the time gone?

First so sorry it has taken so long to catch up.  Life has be wonderfully busy, enjoying my babies.  We spent the month of Feburary and first part of March traveling around the southern states visting friends and family.  At the end of our trip we were able to spend a few weeks in Atlanta where Ty got to have a Star Wars birthday party with some of his good friends.  Once we left to head back to Florida the kids couldn't wait to set foot on the white sandy beaches again.  They are definetly salt water babies, Ty wants to swim so far out that my heart stops a little.  Aidan wants so much to be right behind but doesn't quite have the swimming skills like Ty yet, but she's getting there.  Ty takes his body board out and could spend all day on the waves.  Aidan just loves to run up and down the beach, and especially loves to chase the sea gulls.  The weekend of Easter was a busy one for the Ford family.  We spent a wonderful weekend with our family, easter egg hunting, swimming, and moving to our new house.  The kids were so excited about their new rooms.  Ty got his big bunk bed and Aidan got into her new room with her very loved birdie bedding.  Pictures to be added soon of their precious smiling faces in their rooms.  Ty, Aidan and Bailey are in love with the fenced in back yard.  Some days we spend more time there insead of inside the house.  Ty and Aidan both are doing so amazing at their lessons learning letters, numbers.  Ty is on to learning addition/subtraction and is so excited about Kindergarden.  Would love to keep my babies this way forever, but I'm so proud of them and what they are growing up to be.  We cherish every moment.

Holidays are upon us

The kids and I got a head start before Chad and headed up to his parents house a week before Thanksgiving. Ty and Aidan helped Granny decorate for Christmas, since we won't be with them during Christmas we celebrated both Thanksgiving and Christmas in November. They loved putting the ornaments on the tree, most of Granny's ornaments were on the bottom half and most on the same several branches. They were so proud, and so was Granny. Ty was so excited this year for Christmas presents, he could hardly wait until it was time to open. For several days he would re-organize his presents and then sit and look at the gifts wondering what they might be. Time has flown between returning from Thanksgiving and now packing up to leave again for Christmas. Ty has now lost both his bottom front two teeth, he can hardly hang onto the money from the tooth fairy. His favorite place to go and spend his money - Target! Aidan had her Tangled birthday party, dressed in her rapunzel dress. After the food, cake and presents we went outside after dark and set off all the floating lanterns - she was so excited. Can't believe our baby girl is 3, or as she likes to say "I'm free". Ty had his first Christmas program, and was so adoreable! His pre-k class did an amazing job, singing jingle bells, fa-la-la-la, and We wish you a merry Christmas. Chad and I are taking the kids up to a cabin in the mountains to spend Christmas and Ty can hardly wait. He has made a calendar in his room and marks off each day until we leave. He is hoping for snow - we will see. Snow or no snow we are looking forward to the memories made as a family.

Year is coming to an end, and our babies keep growing

Wow, it's catch up time. Ty began pre-school in August, bringing back such sweet memories for momma as he is going to the shcool where I attended elementary school. He was so amazed as we sat in the auditorium for open house that his momma sung on that very stage when I was a little girl. He just loves his teacher, which happens to be a good friend of mine from college. Chad and I think he was having his very first crush with his teacher. In just the first few weeks of school she could put together a book with all the cards and gifts he would bring her. He is in heaven getting to read books, do crafts, and play with his friends all the while calling it school :) He is picking up how to read so quickly, and never ceases to impress us with all the knowledge he is retaining. He is growing so quickly, and amazingly enough is already loosing his bottom front two teeth. I didn't believe him at first - I mean a four year old loosing his teeth already just didn't sound right, but after feeling the tooth was indeed loose I began to panic a little thinking he knocked it loose. However, I looked into his mouth seeing the two big teeth coming in behind. Just can't believe how big our babies are getting. Aidan celebrates her third birthday in just a few short weeks. She got to attend her very first princess birthday party for a few of her friends. She got to dress up in her Rapunzel dress (from her favorite movie Tangled) and the girls spend the afternoon putting on pretend makeup, practicing the art of walking in heels, and making braclets from ribbon and beads. She is still a perfect mix of princess and tomgirl. She is most content to put on a frilly tutu and get outside to play in a nice fresh mud puddle. Our babies keep our lives filled with laughter, love. Enjoying every minute of these years, they pass by so quickly.

Summer is gone

Wow, summer has flown by. We have been blessed with several trips away with friends, trips to visit with family and to have family and friends make time to come visit with us. We have lived at the beach, the kids just love the salty life! Ty body surfs in the water, which still makes me a bit nervous but I try to keep my cool. Aidan is more and more daring going further out in the water each time but her most favorite thing is to chase the seagulls. Summer is nearly at it's end now and Ty will start pre-school on August 23rd (can't believe it!) He is also beginning his speech therapy because as Ty puts it "I get stuck on my words" Aidan is getting to be our big girl as well. She is in a big girl bed now, going on the big girl potty, and in the last week is swimming like a big girl. She has no fear of the water and just jumps in and goes. Time is going too quickly, our babies are growing up. We will be posting lots of pictures from the summer.
